I received notice from my university yesterday that I passed all of my classes, and will now be able to graduate. Huzzah! Please believe me when I say it was an ordeal I will never repeat, but at the same time, it's a huge relief that I made it, and will finally have my degree.
My friend Lynati, who you may know from the forums, has also very, very generously replaced the Wacom pen that I lost during the house-move I made in February (!) and I can now begin the task of translating some of my sketches into digital format for posting.
Speaking of the forum... I was told yesterday as well that it suddenly became non-functional. You will see the link above is disabled for the time being. I have tried about 6 different methods of fixing it so far, none of which have worked. I have no idea why this problem started as I had not been on the website at all for at least 4 days before it happened. After having no success with trying to fix the forum myself, I've contacted the developers of the software to see if they can help me.
Hopefully this won't take more than a few days to resolve, but it may involve re-installing the entire forum software, including all the mods I installed to bar the spam-bots -which is a huge undertaking! I hope to have everything fixed by the end of this weekend, though, so I'll be able to spend some real time on drawing and trying to pick up my comic projects where I left them.
Hang tight, the end is near! Thanks for everything. Extra thanks as well to Bram, for your email of support - I finally have time to reply tonight! : )

'Bout time for one of these... OK, here's the deal.
A few weeks ago, I was offered the opportunity to take the last 3 courses required to finish my degree. This is the last possible chance I have to actually finish the darned thing, as my degree apparently expires if not completed by the end of this Summer term.
I have taken this very seriously, and have been working hard to try and make the timing work - which it finally has after much, much hard work and arduous, incredibly frustrating fights with University bureaucracy. It has paid off though, which is great for me in the long term, but very bad for Hazard Pay in the short term. My three courses are two in Philosophy, and an English course in Speculative Fiction that I'm really excited about, because it's the direction I want to be going with in terms of my own writing.
The course involves a (very large!) number of readings in the fantasy vein, so if anyone wants a list of the required texts to read along, I'd be happy to supply one - I've actually already had two people say they wanted to do this, which is amazing. Thanks so much for your support!
I hope you will understand how important these next 12 weeks are for... well, for the outcome of the rest of my life. Please wish me the best, and accept my word that Hazard Pay will resume once these courses are over.
Thanks so much to those of you who have stuck with us during these trying times. I promise I'll make it worth your while.
